Ransome Weis, DVM
Dr. Weis graduated from Cornell
University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 and has since been
in small animal practice, first in Virginia and then in Bucks
County. Dr. Weis and his wife, Dr. Laura Weis, bought Doylestown
Veterinary Hospital, formerly Animal Clinic Doylestown, in 2002.
His particular interests include surgery and infectious diseases.
Dr. Weis completed his undergraduate degrees with majors in biology,
chemistry, and mathematics at Dickinson College in 1977. Before
attending veterinary school, he worked as a teacher. He spends his
spare time with his wife, three sons, dog, Mirabelle, and two cats,
Bal Briggan and Aloysius.

Lois Palin, VMD
Dr. Palin graduated from the
University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1991,
and since then has lived and practiced in Bucks County.
Endocrinology and dermatology are two of Dr. Palin’s clinical
interests. She completed her undergraduate degree in chemistry at
the College of Wooster in 1987. In her spare time Dr. Palin enjoys
traveling with her family. She shares her home with her husband, two
children, two dogs Ben and Buck, and cat, George

Laura Weis,
DVM
Dr. Weis graduated from the
Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998
with the highest combined standing in both clinical and classroom
work. She then moved to Bucks County to practice at Richboro
Veterinary Hospital and later Doylestown Veterinary Hospital, before
taking over Holiday House Pet Resort in 2004. Dr. Weis graduated
from Cornell University with honors in biology in 1991. In her free
time she enjoys gardening and volunteering at her children's school.
She shares her home with her husband, three sons, dog Mirabelle, and
two cats Bal Briggan and Aloysius. |

Kathie
Herzog, Office Manger
Kathie has been with Doylestown
Veterinary Hospital since 1997, first as a receptionist and
currently as the office manager. A native of the Midwest, Kathie
graduated from Michigan State University with a major in physics.
She moved to Bucks County more than 20 years ago, where she raised
two sons with her husband, Dave. In her spare time she enjoys
reading, cooking, sewing, and playing piano. She shares her home
with her husband and their cat, Gracie. |

Nina Cohen, CVT
Nina joined
Doylestown Veterinary Hospital in September of 2004. She is a
certified veterinary technician with more than twenty years of
experience, including ten years in the field of emergency medicine.
Nina has two daughters and spends her free time with her two dogs,
Ricky and Lucy, cat, Peddles, and three horses. |

Justine Ridgeway, Veterinary Assistant
Justine began work at Doylestown Veterinary Hospital as a veterinary
assistant after graduating from Central Bucks East High School in
2003. She plans to attend Harcum College in the fall of 2007 to
become a certified veterinary technician. Justine and her family
share their home with two dogs, and a cat, Spike. Justine enjoys
snowboarding and relaxing at the beach in her spare time.

Lauren
Lefkowitz, Veterinary
Assistant
Lauren joined Doylestown Veterinary
Hospital as a veterinary assistant in 2005 after beginning her
career with animals at Holiday House Pet Resort in 2003. She is
currently taking classes at PennFoster College to become a certified
veterinary technician. Lauren and her boyfriend share their home
with four tropical fish. In her spare time Lauren enjoys gardening
and fishing.

Barbara Scott, Receptionist
Barbara began working as a receptionist at Doylestown Veterinary
Hospital in March of 2006. Prior to joining the staff, Barbara
worked as a church secretary and in a human orthopedic office.
Barbara, her husband, and her two daughters have lived in Bucks
County for nine years and share their home with one cat, Midnight,
two birds, four fish, and one horse. In her spare time Barbara likes
to read and enjoys music. |

Jessica Pritchard, Receptionist
Jessica joined Doylestown Veterinary
Hospital in June of 2006 and splits her time between the hospital
and Holiday House Pet Resort. She graduated from Central Bucks East
High School in 2002 and from Wake Forest University with a degree in
biology in 2006. Currently she is applying to veterinary school.
Jessica spends her spare time with her dog, Jake, and horse. |

Lulu
Lulu is the office’s resident calico cat.
She joined the staff in 2003, and takes her job of relaxing
full-time very seriously. While she may have arrived at Doylestown
Veterinary Hospital dangerously obese, Lulu has shed her extra
weight and is now a svelte, more youthful, and happier cat. |
